Here are a few more historical pictures of buildings in Brainerd. Again, these were taken from Elsie Walker Everest’s scrap book and aren’t identified as to the sources. I hope you enjoy this little bit of Minnesota history.
Beneath this clipping in Aunt Elsie’s handwriting are these words: “We got our railroad passes here – changed cars, etc. “
This picture has written on it: “Ralph’s first school in Brainerd.” Ralph Everest was the husband of Elsie Walker and the notation is in her hand.
The caption reads: OLD WASHINGTON HIGH Built in 1884, the building was destroyed by fire in 1929.
